Tracks and Trains

Welcome to Tracks and Trains! I've created this compilation of trains over a couple of years. One of my favorite subjects is train tracks... but the occasional train is very nice as well. I prefer, of course, steam trains like the ones below, but any train has a specific look to it. Michelle and I even included trains and tracks (and the Harley) with her bridals. The following website has two images of Michelle's bridals. One of which is us in front of a BNSF train. Follow the link and then go to "gallery" and then to "artsy"

Choppers and Cadillacs

All of the above images were taken during my first deployment to the Middle East ('02-'03) with a Canon G2 4.0 Megapixel camera. All were in Kuwait prior to us heading up North.

The two images below, each of a Cadillac were taken with my first digital camera in 2000. It was a Kodak 1.0 Megapixel. Despite the low resolution of the two, they each make a nice 5x7 print in matted 8x10 frame. Thanks to my mother in-law who secretly bought the '59 Caddilac print last year.

Exploring Light

Gee, I hope so!
Random Road Sign in the Woods

Lit pathway

Michelle, Harley and I took a walk near Big Sur today. At first we had wanted to go hiking at Andrew Molera State Park which runs along a river and continues to the ocean. However, we decided to take the Saturn 4X4'ing in the hills near Big Sur instead and we drove until we found an area that we wanted to walk. Not much to take pictures of there minus the random roadsign in the middle of nowhere and no sign of work being done. Still shooting with Michelle's Canon Powershot because I don't have a new camera yet.

So this blog hasn't been going as well as I had wanted. Probably has something to do with that I destroyed my camera a couple of months ago, and can no longer take pictures. So I think I will try to display some previous photographs in an attempt to do this blog and actually have people look at it. This will be a journey back in time, starting with the day I lost my camera.

Oh that looks like a nice place to go take a picture!
What nice big waves!!!
Honey... it's just to my ankles.

I mean my waist... um, where is my camera?
It fell into the ocean... completely submerged for three big waves. I'm amazed I found it. But salt water and cameras don't go together well. I only took one decent picture of the waves that day. That's the first one in b/w.

Motorcycle Day

Chell and I took a trip down towards Big Sur today on the Ducati. It was a great day and we met some people from Scotland, Austria and Germany who were vacationing on the CALI coast.

Getting Started

I saw that my buddy Matt had a page for his pictures... I am jealous and decided to copy him. Hopefully I can figure this thing out.
